GARDEN GROW SHARE

​Learn, plant, and grow with helpful guidance in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

 

We wanted to make it easier for our city's growers to grow beautiful and productive home and community gardens. For a sliding-scale membership fee, individuals, households, and community organizations can access free garden tools and power tool rentals.

  • Companion planting, square foot and container gardening

  • How to harvest veggies and when to know they are ready

  • Crop rotation and season extension

When you join our Garden Grow Share program, you gain access to our Tool Library! Borrow gardening tools, drills, and more for up to a week! No need to purchase expensive equipment. Enjoy the freedom to garden and build garden beds as you progress in this program, without the additional costs.

Membership Benefits

  • Access to garden workshops throughout the growing season. We will be available to answer questions, connect you to available resources, and offer educational opportunities.

  • We will help you plan your garden layout and support you through the season by helping to troubleshoot problems and pests as they occur. 

  • We will do a site visit as needed to provide tips for layout and design.

  • Soil testing; we encourage and support testing soil to ensure safe growing conditions.

  • Access to tools and equipment through our tool share.

  • Plants are grown in Indy and are compatible with small spaces and container gardening, seeds are easy to sow.

  • Gardeners are responsible for picking up seeds and transplants, and details are sent out before distribution.

  • Option to have raised beds constructed at your garden site for an additional fee
